Speech Endpiont Detection Using DSP Builder

Abstract: In this paper, we use DSP Builder to realize the speech signal endpoint detection based on short-time energy variation. In the design, we use the LUT (look-up table) window design and FSM (finite state machine) to simplify the hardware circuit and improve the operating speed. Using DSP Builder to preprocess the speech signal (pre-emphasis, framing and windowing),to calculate the signal short-time energy of per frame, to convert the energy to state value according to the result of speech energy of each frame compare with the energy threshold, then determined the endpoint of speech signal by energy threshold and energy logic state numeric sequence. The results of simulation show that the method can detect the beginning point and ending point of speech signal effectively.

Abstract: In recent years, magnetic separation technology in the industrial wastewater and sewage purification, seawater desalination, and other fields have a wide range of development and research, and made a lot of research results. Magnetic separation technology plays a more and more prominent role in application due to its advantages in waste water control and treatment. Several aspects of this technology in water pollution control are discussed in this paper.

QSAR Model for the LC50 of Nitrobenzenes

Abstract: In the study of toxicology, animal experiments have given the toxicity of nitrobenzene compounds. Similarly, in the environment of nitrobenzene has potential harm to human body. In order to further study the characteristics of nitrobenzene, according to its physical and chemical properties, through the different method to establish QSAR model to predict the toxicity. In our study, a nonlinear quantitative structure¨Cactivity relationship model for the prediction of the LC50 of nitrobenzene was developed by the gene expression programming (GEP). This GEP model is established basis on four descriptors which were selected from the descriptor list by heuristic method (HM). A nonlinear, four-descriptor model based on GEP with mean-square error 0.065 and a correlation coefficient (R2) 0.906 for the training set, mean-square error 0.043 and a correlation coefficient (R2) 0.889 for the test set. The results indicate that this QSAR model has stable predictive capability of nitrobenzene toxicity and it provides a new method for toxicology research. The QSAR used in toxicology, will greatly reduce the harm of experimental animals.

Time-domain Analysis And Research on Ground Clutter Based On IIR Elliptic Filter

Abstract: Ground clutter is part of clutter radar echo signal which is useless, and impact accurate estimates of large data base. According to the time-domain characteristics of ground clutter, this paper research on IIR elliptic filter design methods and the impact of change filter parameters on ground clutter time-domain filter effect. In this paper, we use MATLAB software to design the IIR elliptic filter, and analysis the filter effect of the weather radar signals in the time-domain. From the simulation results we found that the 5th order elliptic IIR with width is 2m/s and the attenuation is 50dB had better balanced effects in the elimination of ground clutter.

Abstract: Most parts of China have witnessed severe smog weather in recent years which affects people¡¯s life and travel to a great extent and has brought about great changes in people¡¯s life and many problems in China¡¯s urbanization progress. The relationship between urbanization development and air pollution gradually triggers deep thoughts. This paper gathered statistics and studied the smog situation at present in China, analyzed causes and harm of smog, and conducted relevant studies on the relations between smog and urbanization planning.
